About MAD-AID
MAD-Aid is a charitable organization established in 2012, with the aim of providing medical support and accessibility to people with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova.Founded by Victoria Dunford, a Moldovan woman based in the United Kingdom, MAD-Aid organizes the transport of medical equipment (wheelchairs, walking frames, hospital beds) to hospitals and institutions in Moldova, where such resources are often limited.
The organization has expanded its initiatives by opening a rehabilitation center, Phoenix Center, which provides therapy services and support for children with disabilities. MAD-Aid focuses on social inclusion and improving the quality of life for those in need, working in partnership with international and local organizations. It has been recognized with the British Empire Medal.Recently, MAD-Aid has been using all its experience to renovate the hospitals in Moldova.
